Social and transitional housing (Kununurra and Wyndham)
The Department of Housing constructed 108 new dwellings in Kununurra and Wyndham; 83 in Kununurra and 25 in Wyndham. Forty of these properties are for transitional housing for Aboriginal residents in Kununurra who are seeking to buy their own home. Eight are part of the Oombulgurri Relocation Social Housing for Wyndham project. The remaining 60 properties are allocated to mainstream social and public housing in Kununurra and Wyndham.

The project was completed in September 2012.

MG Corporation Gelganyem Trust shared office facility
The Gelganyem Trust and the Miriuwung Garjerrong (MG) Corporation based in Kununurra oversee the entitlements and benefits transferred to the traditional owners under the Ord Final Agreement. The shared administrative facility has allowed the organisations to save money and improve planning. These efficiencies will result in better outcomes for the traditional owners.

The project was completed in November 2012.

The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley
and the Waringarri Arts Aboriginal Corporation managed the upgrade and refurbishment expansion of the Art Centre which supports the development of Waringarri Aboriginal art and artists.

Wyndham Community Jetty
The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley managed the community jetty project which has provided a facility for recreational fishing at Anton’s Landing in Wyndham. The Wyndham Community Jetty also services tourism charters, supply barges and emergency services vessels.

The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley upgraded the filtration system and pipework at the Wyndham Swimming Pool.

Wyndham Picture Gardens
The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley managed the Wyndham Picture Gardens which provides a space for leisure activities for the residents and visitors to Wyndham.
